I didnt realize it until this week where on the bottom right corner of my LCD screen, there is a blotch of discoloration on the LCD and its now annoying.

On a completely black background, its a faint white smear. On a completely white background, its faint yellow.

Its not a light reflection from anywhere in my room and I am fairly sure that pressure is not the cause of this (I carry it in the supplied backpack). The back of the LCD is quite rigid and it doesn't distort the screen and gently massaging in front of the screen doesn't do anything.

Here are some pictures to show what I mean. Is this RMA worthy (taking it to an ASP) or am I SOL?

If you live in USA just RMA it. It will be the best option. If in other country, just find nearest service center and show it to them.

You can try taking a soft cloth and with mild pressure see if you can smooth it out left-right or up-down.

This is the famous iPhone 4 issue me thinks.

In factory they use a gas which melds the screen layers together.. but due to fact that iphone4 is short on supply, they dont leave it to dry enough.. same with Asus G73.. short supply they just throw em out of factory without waiting.

This issue will resolve itself after couple of hours/days of use. The yellow gas will disappear as the screen will meld together. This should not affect performance or visual appearance in any way as its natural manufacturing process.

However, this is a GUESS information, so dont take me by my word..
