Does Best Buy version of G73 come with any discs?

I just purchased the Best Buy version of the G73. There were no discs included in the box at all. I know that I should burn my own recovery disc, or use the recovery partition in the event of an operating system reload, but I did not even get a driver disc for re-installing original drivers. I contacted Asus and was first told that I should have received a disc, then was transferred to another agent who told me discs were only available at an additional cost. Best Buy would not help at all.

Can someone with a Best Buy G73 tell me if this is normal, or should I have received some type of utility/driver disc? Thanks in advance.

Click on my 3rd sig link. In the software section, you'll find what you are looking for.

Thank you very much! I am still surprised that there is no disc included for installing software like Power2Go without having to reinstall the entire operating system. Is there a link to download the Cyberlink software?

It is normal. Either clone the original load and put it aside or create the recovery set. Also, the Blu-ray software is not really available from ASUS (just older versions). Many of us bought full retail versions (I bought WinDVD Pro 2010).

    Cheers,

Not to the 2ch OEM PDVD9 that came with it, tho for $42 you can get PDVD 10 Ultra.
