Does anyone know if the G50VT has a spare usb header on the motherboard? i am going to mod my Xbox360 wireless usb receiver into the laptop and was hoping a free USB header was available on the motherboard instead of trying to mod it through the minipcie port.

I didn't notice one when I was tinkering with it, but then I didn't get in-depth with it either.
You could check around for teardown sites like iFixit, and see if one of them has that information.
That's an interesting project. I hadn't thought of doing that myself, but it's cool. You wouldn't need to carry around MS's ugly receiver anymore. Frankly, I think they should just build this into gaming PCs at this point. The Xbox 360 pad is the "Games for Windows" standard, outside of mouse/keyboad, so why not? -

There is a disassembly guide here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/asu...8551-asus-g50-notebook-disassembly-guide.html
I'm not sure if there is a spare USB header, if you have a model without bluetooth, it might.
Does G50VT have a spare USB header?
