Hey,
I want to buy GL502 with i7 and gtx 1070 but have read that the gpu gets really hot.
Does that affect the temperature of keyboard much? I want to play at high/ultra settings and it seems like 1070 is good for that, but I'm afraid it will be uncomfortable when playing demanding games.
Should i opt fpr 1060 instead?
Thanks for the replies in advance.

What you have to do on the GL502 models is undervolt the CPU via Intel XTU and also use the RoG Gaming Centre to manually set fans to maximum speed when gaming. That should take care of the heat.

Wouldn't that get too loud though?
The only laptop I had was alienware 11x which had pretty loud fan.
How are the noise levels on GL502?
I plan to play with headphones on but am concerned about my significant other as I will play with her watching tv or something. -

Most gaming laptops with 1070 class GPUs will run louder unless you buy one of the massive behemoths such as the GT73 or higher end Clevos.
It's basically either a louder machine or a hotter machine or a massive machine.Totemsky likes this. -
Side question: would GL502 with 1070 be faster than desktop with gtx 970?
I'm trying to determine if it will be faster than my current desktop with i5-3570k. -

By a lot. A 970 is slower than a 1060 laptop.
Does ROG GL502 with i7 and gtx1070 gets too hot when gaming?
