    Thank you for your response

an important question comes in my mind. Do Asus G73JW and G53JW come with LG or Hannstar screen?

Hope Asus gets rid of AUO because its so flimsy, and they use LG units instead though i doubt about it

    thank you

    It is Hannstar :)..

The screen overall is very nice and has some of the best contrast ratios IE rich blacks of any laptop screen...

Only downside is its not the brightest screen out there but overall its very nice and i am rather picky ;)...

I have owned LG screens before in my past machines which were certainly nice but the Hanstarr is also a nice screen overall..

They use the AUO models in the Bestbuy G73 machines or atleast they did in the past and people were not to happy to put it lightly...

As for which screen the G53 will have it would only be wild speculation at this point :)..

LG is a another 1600 x 900 screen used in the Bestbuy model, as well as the AUO.

Personally, I have the LG and I find it very nice. It could do with better saturation, and the contrast isn't quite as good as the Hannstar found in higher end models, but it's still quite nice. Bright, too. It's too bright for my poor eyes even on the lowest setting.
