Does anyone know how to change the temperature at which my cooler kicks in for my gforce 260m ? I am rolling an AMI bios for g60vx ver 205.

    Thanks.

I have no control over when the cooler kicks in don't I ?

I haven't heard of software that controls it. You can cut the RPM wire of the fan and then it will be at 100% speed all the time. That would get annoying though.

I'd have to look up which wires to cut but I'm sure you can find the info in the forum, it's in a G50VT fan thread that I posted in.

yeah, it's a video on youtube about doing that. It's the blue wire by the way. If I cut that, my cooler will always run. But it makes such a loud noise and I don't want to cut it.

My temperatures are ok right now but I would like to permanently keep my GPU cooler. If it reaches 80C it starts the fan, and I want to change that to 60C.

I wouldn't want to use operating system software but if that's the only option, I will try it. The AMI bios that I am running is not very customizable as I am used to in older and other BIOS'es.

If you find out something, would love to hear about it, thanks.
