I paid $1200.00 for a g51 laptop, and two months later, it quit working.
I sent it in for repair on Sept.16, and now here it is November 4th, and I have no laptop..still.
I have called asus several times only to learn they have the worst customer service in the world. Each time I call I hear we don't know when it will he fixed.
Asking for a refund just gets stickers and laughs and what I believe to be ridicule in Chinese.
When I inform telephone support of my problem and the.fact that I will be returning overseas for air support, the only response I.get in English is "Then go get killed, and leave us alone" otherwise its just a lot of loud harassment in Chinese, unless I'm lucky enough to talk to an Arab or French.tech.support..
After demanding a replacement laptop after 47 days in repair, the supervisor informs me they will send.a replacement only if the part can't be ordered from Taiwan, the same part that was supposedly ordered a month ago, and a replacement will take another 30 days.
I will never buy another Chinese laptop as long as I live.

Sent from my American made Android phone.

My harddrives on my ASUS G73jh just died recently, I called and right away they told me to send it in for replacement harddrives, I sent it express and recieved my laptop back 4 business days later, unfortunately they were not able to salvage any of my information, but other than that I found their tech support quite acceptable, and when I called to track my laptop they were still very nice and very informative. I called the Canadian tech support, only problem I had was that I was on hold for around 10 minutes, but considering I called at around 5 or 6pm, I'm still quite impressed. You must have been one of the unlucky ones haha.

A few people on the forums were saying that the Canadian Asus center is one of the best and that the Eastern US center is the worst.

My Asus laptops have never ever died before, so I can't comment.

ASUS is not a bad brand in general. It could be that the particular branch where you sent your machine is not good.
I have been buying only ASUS laptops since around 2005. This is my third one (N71JQ) from them and I am still stisfied.

There were some RMA's in the last years, but I was satisfied with their service.

I did have problems with my first one (F3JP) which I had to send three time for repair for different defects, but ASUS Germany was extremely fast. I got my notebook back in less than 10 days every time.

Just a knee jerk response, but when somebody starts a thread with "Don't buy something," I think they are getting paid to spread fear, uncertainty and doubt, or they are too angry to be reasonable.

Angry or not, the anti-every-nationality tone kind of ____________. (Please fill in the blank with what the OP's screen-name creatures do.)

On the other hand, a true situation of having the laptop in the hands of a huge corporate entity with no resolution for nearly two months would make me unreasonable too! Nightmare.

Before buying my G51JX, I ordered a laptop from Kobalt, when ordering they do not state a delivery, just you pay extra for next day delivery. I paid the extra, 3 days later an email telling me an ETA of over 3 weeks, in the meantime they take payment from my card.
I waited nearly 4 weeks, still no laptop. I tried to ring them - No answer. I tried to email them - No reply. I put a post on their forum - they removed it. The final attempt was to send an email to the director, canceling the order, I got a reply 2 days later stating order canceled, refund initiated.
2 weeks later, still no refund so I raised a dispute with my credit card company. a week later I got another email from Kobalt, "Quote, we have 30 days to make the refund under internet purchase laws, and we are going to use them, so there is no need to dispute payment".

NOW THAT'S WHAT YOU CALL LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE.

In the meantime my G51 blazers away without fault

The OP ,a new member just stayed on the forum long enough to make a Rant thread on his customer service experiance
It sounds like you have tried escalating as you are talking to a supervisor

While it is unfortunate that you are waiting a very long time ,this thread is not going anywhere and so
