When I downclock my graphics to minimum ( msi afterburner) my laptop become silent. So I was thinking to downclock when not playing games.Still enought power for internet, pictues and movies. What You think?

define what is minimum to you and in what situations
for me minimum is 70/100 when on battery
ofcourse you can downclock the clocks with modifying the vbios but keep in mind when the memory clock changes for example from 1000 (default) lets say 900 the screen will flicker
and that is the main reason i dont have my clocks lower for the memory on AC
and becouse of this G73JH Jumping clocks - YouTube
EDIT : sorry i didn't saw that you have NVIDIA card
NVIDIA is a different story and it doesnt flicker when changing clocks i think
that's why i always wanted separated threads or at least name the thread with the model of your laptop -
I say go for it a long s everything is stable, it's not like it will have a negative effect on your system.

I have a problem with my 6990M which I am yet to fix, when I had my screen replaced by my Clevo Reseller they had it connected to an external screen and now the card thinks it is still attached to an external screen when they replaced it. No amount of flashing or reinstalling tweaking can fix it so until I finally disassemble to put my new keyboard in my clocks sit at idle 250/1100 and clocks upto 850/1100 when I game so it keeps my fans on.
I found a simple fix was to go into CCC and setup two hotkeys to turn powerplay on and off. Off forces it to sit at 100/150 for me which is stable and allows me to still watch movies and browse and switches the fans off solid. I just hit Alt P and it switches powerplay back on when I want to game. I couldn't stand the downclocking not always working either and switching my fans on and off so I find this to work well. May be what you are looking for. -
I downclock to this level
system is stable,internet,pics,movies running good
and these are idle temps when downclocking
