    Downclocking with new vbios

    I'm using to latest vbios with my g73jh and my gpu stays downclocked while playing... anybody knows about that issue?

    Weird... downclocking should stop when playing. Try going to CCC and disable powerplay so you'll have a fix clocking option.

    Make sure you're in high performance mode and plugged in to your A/C adapter.

    Nothing to do, stuck on 500 clock.... I didn't restart because I don't want that to be the only solution...

    That should only happen if you are running on battery, if you are plugged in it will go to 700gpu

    I am plugged... Since last time I was on battery I did a restart and now I'm having this problem. I don't want this to happen -_-

    Oh wait, it just changed.... Let's see if my fps is now back to 60 and not 30 anymore

    Nope.... got back to 500...

    You have a window open, probably on a browser, that has a video showing, like say Youtube, and you have hardware acceleration enabled for internet video / flash plugin. As long as that video, even if paused, is open in the browser, the drivers will detect it and go into UMV mode and do 500/1000.

    Solution: close the offending video

    Crap, thanks that's right.... so I can't play and check a video at same time for a strategy ? :(

    If you absolutely must do this, then you could edit your video BIOS clock profiles (using RBE) so the clock on video matches the clock on high.

    You can, if you disable hardware acceleration for video in Flash and other plugins.
