This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Driver install/uninstall

    Just i quick question. When i install a new update to my 5870 graphics card drivers i have always just installed over the previous version. Am i supposed to uninstall the previous drivers first or does it not matter.

    technically it is replaced file for file, entry for entry. there should be no need.

    that being said i uninstall previous drivers, then clean the registry, reboot, install new drivers.
