I just received a new update notification Intel Corporation driver update for Intel(R)Management Engine Interface

Can someone please explain this update to me. Should I go ahead and update it threw Windows?

I never update driver's with windows update. How can i check to see if I have this latest update maybe I can go to Intel and get the latest one myself.

That one's fine (Intel pushes lots of stuff through Microsoft update) and could provide security updates. If it's marked optional I'd take a look at what it fixes and choose. If it's marked recommended then I'd install it.

Most of us aren't using the management interface on our notebooks anyway...
