I had a trooper bring me his G73 to re paste his Video and Main Processor.
When removing the keyboard The tape was very hard to pull up,in fact I think that if I had kept working the keyboard like I was it would have broken something in it.
What I did was get a flat piece of bendable plastic that was about the same thickness of card stock paper and cut out a strip to 11 inches long and 6" wide and use that to slide under the keyboard down to the tape.
While pushing the plastic strip down under the tape the keyboard just came off with ease. Well worked off with ease.
I did not have to bend it or pull hard in any way. I had to push the plastic strip in a little and work the keyboard up and keep doing this a few time in till it came loose . If I tried to push it down under the tape all the way it would get stuck some to the tape and that did not help any.
So working this Shim as I am calling it a little at a time I was able to remove the keyboard and not bend it or damage it in anyway.
IF you are working on your G73 you might try this as it does make removing the Keyboard quite a bit easier.
Also remember that if you do this you do it at your own risk as you may damage your keyboard or computer!
Do this at your own Risk as I can not be responsible for any outcome if you use this item.
