I can't figure out how to get turbo boost to work on this notebook, I have the intel turbo boost app installed, and I believe I enabled turbo boost from BIOS (but I'm not sure) I have a 1.73 ghz processor and I'm not sure how high I can get it to go, so any help would be appreciated.

You can't disable turbo boost in the G73 BIOS. It's always on. You don't need any drivers installed besides your intel chipset drivers.
The turbo boost app is just a monitor to see the current frequency. -
Then how high should my CPU be able to go?

if turboboost isn't kicking in it's most likely because your laptop power management settings are set to power saving mode.
