Heya guys,
I got a Asus G53J recently and i've been having various issues with it so far.
1. the demo which comes with it doesn't seem to run properly. When i dragged it into the CinePlayer and chane the settings to side by side 3d, the video and sound lags every 1 second so it jumps and jumps and jumps.
2. I've been trying to play the game League of Legends (DotA kinda thing), and the fps varies from 120 - 50 constantly throughout the game, but latency is constant at 150 ms. The problem is, sometimes everything around me is still moving, but i can't control my character, can't type or click the mouse...
Stuff i have tried:
1. I've contacted Asus they told me to update the bios to 211 i've done that.
2. i'v tried two different updates with the nvidia 270.61 and the earlier version 267.76
3. playing with the maximum pre-rendered frames from 0 to 8 (with every one)
4. sending it back to the retailier. They checked it on portal 2, crysis 2 on full settings and it works :/
But the problem still occurs.
I'm sure it isn't a problem with the internet connection, since my roomate running a sh760 fujitsu is playing the game fine.
Think i can do anything to fix this problem?
the specs of the computer is:
Processor: Intel Core i7-740QM
RAM: 8GB RAM
Hard Drive: 640GB
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Screen: 15.6" 3D HD Screen
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M (1.5GB DDR5).
thanks a lot!

LoL is a very badly made game, I've had various problems with it, try restarting your game if the character is blocked.

Several people have complained about various stuttering and lagging with the g53j equipped with the 640GB hdd which apparently were 5400rpm hdds.
If yours is indeed a 5400 rmp hdd, you could try to swap it for a 7200 rpm one and give it another try. -
