Error was found in Sandy Bridge !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just read the news about error was found in Sandy Bridge. Intel design error scuppers Sandy Bridge chipset: recalls ahead - SlashGear

I order my Asus g73SW last week, and what should I do now ???? Should I cancel it ?

 

Uh, it's old news already. There's a thread here about it:

Plus, every forum section has someone who already posted about it for each vendor. All the Sandy Bridge laptops have been pulled from the market already, so yours won't ship until the problem is fixed. So in a way, it's canceled already. I would just wait and see what happens or contact your vendor and see what they have to say.

 

The word from intel is that laptop mobos are not affected by this issue because they have 2 sata ports.

 

My laptop shipped monday evening and I got it tonight. So that's not entirely true.

Nonetheless, it's still very fast (and I was in urgent need of a replacement). If a flaw exists, I expect ASUS will fix it with Intel's support.
