Recently "1 week" bought the g73jh-a2 asus laptop and am having some issues. I have searched and searched more on the issue of the iostar event 9 problem and still i am at a loss.
I am very happy with the machine but im very close in returning it if i cannot resolve this issue.
Any help I can get would be better than me getting angry trying everything and anything to get through this.
First of all i have updated all drivers and windows 7.
I also updated the bios to most recent.
Downloaded the new intel manager driver but it is still hanging at certain times for about 30seconds to a minute then acts like nothing happened and everything runs perfectly. I have downloaded and ran seagates hard drive scan and everything comes back with no errors on hard drive.
Also have run skndsk with also no problems.
Have run malware and virus scans with nothing comming back.
I am also getting event 1 lms and some others that i could account for or understand.
I also had been downloading for a day and when i came back today i got the event 51 cdrom 100's of times?
My only guess at this time is that there is hardware that is bad?
Any help would be a godsend..
    Thanks in advance....

    Sorry, its Iastor event 9

Yes sorry if I didnt say that but it did fix it. I have not seen the error in over one month. I did a lot of messing with windows settings that I prolly shouldnt have. At first I thought it was hardware also but every program I ran said both hdd were in perfect condition/ no errors.

Well I did a fresh install. No event 9 in the last 24hrs..
Seems like everytime i seen someone having the same problem did a fresh install and didnt do anything for them. Im soo damn happy it worked for me.
Many thanks :) I think anyone who buys a new pc should go for a custom install. even got rid of alot of needless proceses :)
If it wouldnt be too much trouble id like to ask u another question that oim alittle unsure of

See what was weird about mine is I did do a fresh install but something I installed after that casued the event 9. SO when I did the reinstall again I just did the bare min for drivers.

As for the other question sure ask away. That is what the forums are for.
