Ok not 100% sure this is in the right place but here we go. Been trying to find a replacement laptop for my G50VT since the video is going bad. Really like Asus so I am looking at a refurbed G60JX from Newegg. Now after reading 3 or 4 dozen bad reviews on refurbed Asus notebooks I am thinking an extended warrenty (only 90 days on refurbs) would be a good idea. So I was wondering does anyone have any expierence with Newegg's extended warrenty or does anyone knowoff hand if one can be bought from Asus?

    Thanks for any help.

You can't buy an extended warranty from ASUS, even on new machines. There's an optional 3-year (total) extension but it has to be purchased from a retailer at the same time as the notebook.

I have no experience with 3rd party warranties - I'd check what company does it and then read user feedback and complaints about them with regard to notebooks, on a consumer site or the like.
