Indipendentely by the resolution used in games a lower (fhd) or higher resolution (uhd) monitor will influence the fps in game ?
for exmple if i will use 1024x768 on a FHD monitor and on UHD 4k monitor in any case i will have more fps on the FHD monitor ?
thank you

If you use 1024x768 on both monitors both monitors will have the same fps. You can even simulate 4K on the 1080p monitor (called downscaling) and then it will run just as slow as the 4K monitor running at 4K. The actual resolution of your monitor doesn't matter its just what you run it at in game.

Thank you. concluding , if i need a 4k wide gamut display (for photo editing) with "only" a gtx 970 , i don t bother afterway for the fps if i need to play, i will just use resolution below 4k, it's right ?
thank you -
Not quite sure what you meant at the end there, but playing on a 4K display at 1080p with a 970 should work great.martevenere likes this.

You can always lower the resolution of a 4K display to 1080p, how well it behaves depends on the display panel and scaler chip/video card driving it.
I would love to see how the 4K screen STRIX model handles running at 1080p. Is the 4K screen model even out in the wild? Reminds me of dell, lists the good screen in release specs, maybe have it available 4 months down the line... -
i like strix too , but for the heat problem and max upgradeable ram 24 , i thinkin also for acer predator 15, but 4k version predator cost mucher
FHD and UHD 4k and fps in game question
