    Hey there folks.
Got my laptop 2 days ago. It is perfect and everything was working great until this morning.

TH FN keys stopped working for no reason. Fn+F1 works which puts the computer to sleep mode however the rest does not work. What to do?

I am really sad so would be great if someone can help.

    Update

    Fn+F1
    FN+F5
    FN+F6
FN+F7 are working but not the rest.

Reinstall the ATK drivers. They control the hotkeys.

    Hey there

    Thank you for the response.

I did that the first time but it did not work again. Later I did a recovery via f9 and the problem was solved.

After that I installed some files via Asus Live update and the problem occured again.

I first thought Asus Live update created the issue but I read somewhere that removing the games that came with the laptop caused some individuals to have the exact same issue I faced.

Now my FN keys are still not working although they were working fine after a system recovery.

I will again try to update the ATK files and if not do a recovery again

and this time I will not uninstall any games but will only do Asus Live update and see if the problem will occur again.

    Fingers crossed.

I cant see how installing the ATK file does not correct the problem though.

Sometimes I have heard of people needing to uninstall and reinstall ATK a couple of times, I'm not sure what the issue is with the installer.

Get rid of live update it's a pile of garbage. Just go to ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download to get new drivers.

My problem is solved this time by reinstalling the ATK
    Thank you

    One other question.
I will get rid of the live update and use the site you gave me.
I can see all the files that are there.
How can I check if the files I have in my laptop are newer? How can I check the version numbers?

Control Panel - Uninstall an Application

You will see your program list, and version numbers.

As for drivers, you will need to open up the devices in Device Manager.
