With all this talk about the Witcher, Fable III took a backseat. I'm curious how does this baddie runs on the G73, so if anyone has it, input would be welcome ;)

Fable 3 is definitely next on my list, but witcher 2 takes priority right now. I'm still upset they gave PC gamers the shaft with fable 2.

I really do not understand why they decided to release Fable 3 at the same time as witcher 2. Is Microsoft trying to shoot themselves in the foot and prove their point that xbox games sell better?

It will certainly be in my books along with the Witcher and if it runs better at release I may even put Triss's knockers on hold and play a bit of humerous role playing while they sort out the ATI problems, one game I would have loved to be adapted to ATI and they choose NoVidia.

It's not just ati, with all settings (low to high), I can barely get witcher 2 to over 20 fps at 1920x1080 even with the new nvidia beta drivers.

Think it varies for everyone because I get a comfortable 30+ fps with 1600x900 with mostly high settings apart from Blur,AA,SSAO. with my setup below. Even so the game is very smooth even when it does dip into the 20's.

its looking really great serious :D for me, i was impressed by fable the lost chapter more than the witcher so i decided to get this first. I get about the same FPS like Dallers, High and very high setting are not that difference from each other from what i can see

Runs like on my G73 (5870, stock clocks, 11.4 Prev) @ 1920x1080 with Shadows on (everything else set to high) < 10 FPS.

Turn shadows off and leave view dist/water on normal, everything else set to high and I get around 25-45 FPS. AVG: 30's. Dips at low as 10 every now and then when new areas load.

Seems like Fable and TW2 aren't very well optimized for ATI cards let alone our systems.

I'm running with everything on high , except shadow 1920x1080 Cat 11.5 (760/1060) AVG:40fps but often it drops to 20-15. This game is not well optimized, just another crap port from console.
Crysis 2 is running smoother and it have wayyyy better graphics =T

They took 7 months to spit out a recycled ported piece of garbage that runs like crap on PC. Surprise surprise. With shadows off, the game is manageable, but looks more like Fable TLC. Another epic fail by Microsoft. If you're gonna brand something as "Games for Windows" at least make sure you optimize it. Good thing they had the decency to change the loading sign to say "please don't turn off your PC". I'm sure that took more coding than Molyneux' team could handle.
