Im currently working on a project, i got some free time to mess around :D!

I want to replace my current GPU/CPU fans with more powerful fans(higher CFM/RPM), noise doesnt really bother me im 95% time with headset...

As you may know, aftermarket fans for laptop are really hard to find. Im looking for the rotating part (with motor). Btw, its 4PIN connector fans.

I got another project, its to add a fan under the motherboard near the cpu. I believe there enough room for a little fan. This will require to add more holes in the frame.

There is one issue though, where will i plug the cable?...

    Any ideas?

Good Luck on the project make sure to take notes for future noobies trying to do this :) Such as me haha. Blah let the camera focus <3

I myself would love to add a different fan if i could keep the video card temperatures even lower.

you could just get your 5/12v from the current fan headers your just gonna have to splice into the wires... or you can get it directly form the power jack but if you go the power jack route your going to get 12v constant and with the fan headers ull get a variable voltage depending on the heat of the laptop....

as for the fans thats going to be hard to find bro your gonna have to measure the fan and look for fans of that size and retrofit it in there...

but delta is a hella good brand for fans i use them on my desktop for my watercooling setup

5v inst going to do ... plus i wouldnt run it of the usb because it might draw to much amperage and if you plug in something else thats heavy too it could make your pc shut down or kill that usb port...

your better off getting it directly from the power jack or a fan header... if you get it from the power jack and want to give it less than 12 just bring it down with a resistor

here is a good calculator i use when i want a certain voltage
    Reducing Fan Speeds

most fans use .2 amps... well atleast 120mm fans lol im not to sure about these little ones
