    Hi!

I just wonder if it is possible to flash the Asus G51-RX05 260M Bios into a 285M or 280M one?
Sorry if the question has been asked, i didn't find it on the search option.

    Thanks

its impossible due to hardware constraints, you will most likely brick your video card doing so.

Is there a way to have the same clocks? 'cuz i think its the same hardware no?
When i try to overclock to my 260M to 280M Clocks, in MSI Afterburner, I have a Driver Kernel Crash when i start a game or something else, and it throttle my CG, to very low frenquencies

if your crashing I suggest driver updates, as for the gtx 260m and 280m having same hardware is wrong as the the 260m has 112 sp and the 280m has 128 sp

Oh ok i understand for the hardware issue,
But for overclocking, the problem is i tried with a lot of drivers, DOX, And lattest too, and i have the same problem, in 600/1500/950 I have a crash and a throttle

EDIT: I'm Running on Windows 7 64 BIT, And do you think if i overclock Bios Clocks with Nibitor it gonna resolve my problem?

107c With stock clocks, i have a decrease of the FPS after a moment, it goes from 70fps on the first minutes, to 35Fps in the last minutes ( 10min of test)
I'm going to test with overclock

With 580/1450/870 Clocks, i have 107c Too, and the same decrease of FPS from 80 to 35-40
( My GPU Usage dont reach the 87% oO ! And it decrease in time too ( like the fps) )

your reason for your throttling is your temps are way to high and at 107c you could be doing permanent damage, I suggest sending in your system to asus for rma if you still have warranty, if you don't have any warranty I suggest cleaning out your vents and heat sinks and doing a thermal re-paste on the gpu and cpu asap before you continue to game/benchmark

This problem is new, before i've never had more than 95c, i think because i changed the room where i was, the new one si more hotter than the old one, 25c ambient temp

oh I see, I would then suggest getting a good cooling pad for your unit in that case, but if you can do a repaste of MX2 on the gpu that would help lower those load temps by a few degrees, doing this will void your warranty if you have any.

bumping isn't allowed, but yeah, I'd definitely try for a repaste or something. 108c is really high. Minecraft does use a lot of vram, so thats normal, on contrary to what ppl would think, its actually a pretty hardware intensive game.
Uses like 1.3gigs of RAM as well(or it can). But yeah, main thing for you is to some how get and keep those temps below 100c.

You can do that by repasting, a laptop cooler, if u havent already, propping up the laptop so more air can flow underneath, and lastly, sending it in if needed.

The maximum temp i reach to is 94. It usually stays around 93 in stock and when overclocked around 100/101. And its no point overclocking it to 280 or 285. firstly becuz u wont get the same performance as 280 or 285 and even if u do it will be around 4/5 fps in action packed scene's and secondly becuz its never going to be as stable as stock. It will start to over heat and drop ur fps sooner or later. So its best to stick to stocks

Also, you can't complain that you are unable to overclock. Overclocking is not guaranteed.

you used adhesive  ? I think your suppose to use AS5 paste, MX2 or mx4....your going to have lots of trouble removing your HSF in the future for replacing any parts due to the wrong compound you used.

which paste method are you using, usually pea method on GPU and line method of pasting on the CPU, now its not going to give you dramatically lower temps, you should also be using a notebook cooler in-conjunction with re-paste.
