    Freeze at Startup

    i just bought mine at best buy, after 2 weeks i encounter this problem

    after i install many games, like Warcraft, disciples and Dragonica
    it works perfect

    but 2/10 when i open my laptop it freezes when i type my PAssword ..

    the one after the windows pictures comes off.

    i read some case here, and i found that Creative and Realtek conflict...

    im not sure about this but my bet is UNinstall creative. but im not quite sure yet..

    If the above suggestion does not help and you are running win 7 on one of the ASUS G73's, I would stop using hibernate,(I assume yours is set to hibernate when the lid is closed). Good luck with your system. J

    I had this problem last week after I was playing with the Bass Boost feature in Creative software. I didn't realize that there were conflicts until I read the thread on the main page.

    I wish I knew that when I first bought the machine because on day 2, I did something similar and the machine hard locked every time Steam launched. I didn't get it and did a system restore. Doh!

    All is well now, let us know what you do to fix it :)

    That's where the hibernate/sleep options are, but that doesn't mean it's the solution to your issue.

    Are you using Steam? If so, do you have Steam set to launch at startup? If so, disable Steam launch on startup and see what happens.

    what is stream? i really dont know that, all i know is i have Creative with ALCHEMY , soundblaster, and creative media source5
