    Hi there,
I downloaded the latest HWINFO, and as i'm running on Windows 7 64-bit, i downloaded HWINFO 64 5.10 version. I ran it, and since this latest release, i supposed that i "would" be able to read fan readings fine but i only see 2 fans, and both seem to belong the CPU fan.

As far as i know, G53JW and big brother G73 series have 2 "exhaust" fans, one is for CPU and the other is for GPU. In that case, when i make load on GPU using some 3D-intensive stuff like games and Physx, still i'm not able to read GPU-fan speed.

How can i view GPU fan-speed and could someone please explain why it's showing 2-identical fans (and the speeds are also "almost" identical) on the screenshot attached. I also wonder why TWO CPUs are included in the highlighted rectangle of ACPI section. My CPU is Core I7 740QM (Quad Core / 8 Threads).

Please help interpreting those entries in HWINFO64 :)

    Thanks in advance.

    Not: I have factory-default initial 209 BIOS (G53JW).

This type of software requires considerable development effort by the developer who is often not aware, or able to test, all the different hardware permutations.

I would suggest that you contact the developer (email address at the bottom of this page), explain your problem with being able to read the speed of the GPU fan and volunteer your help to try to enhance the program. You may get a positive response and be asked to run some tests.

Every different vendor has a different EC control scheme, they don't tend to share it out and it can change from generation to generation. Tracking it is not easy.
