Doom 3 is weird when it comes to getting it full screen. When you change the resolution in-game, it never saves the change after the game restarts.

I remember reading that you have to change a config file. I think I did at some point, but I dunno.

Might wanna look into it. Had the same problem with Doom 3, which I still can't finish because it scares the crap outta me.

doom 3 does not support wide-screen game-play, i tried it myself, there are solutions but what happens is that they just stretch out the viewing angle so that it fills in the screen, it was really ugly.

Play coop mod for Doom 3, less scary when you have a friend along.

I am actually surprised that even CS 1.6 has wide-screen support and doom 3 doesn't and none of the ID developers even bothered to patch.

Here ya go for DOOM 3 widescreen: Doom 3 - WSGFWiki

It works fine and it is NOT only stretched! Thats why you have to change the aspect ratio AND your resolution in config file (have a look at the sample pics).

After you modified the config file, the DOOM 3 menu shows the resosution 640x480. Do NOT change this there, cause it will reset the changes you made! Just let it in this state!
