    Hey! I want to buy a G46 and install win 7 and the only thing that keeps me on the fence are those bloody win 8 only drivers. I've read somewhere that you can install the G55 win 7 drivers. Has someone tryed doing this? Do they all work?

    You will be able to get it working if you go to each of the device manufacturers.

    Many Win8 drivers are also Win7 packages

    Yes, much like the move from vista to windows 7 (have you noticed some windows 8 drivers are still in folders called vista64?) then the major framework for drivers has not changed much.
