Would like to upgrade the processor in the laptop. Would there be a problem putting in a processor that puts out 35 watts. Would there have to be any upgrades to the heat sink?
    Thanks

I run a T9600 which has a Maximum TDP of 35 watts. It runs hotter than the P7450 that came in the unit as it does run at a higher voltage and clock speed and has a less efficient thermal profile. But no hotter than the rest of the G50's that came with similar higher end T series cpu's.

Under normal use with a clean heat sink and proper paste you wont face any issues. It will run hotter while gaming as the gpu is on the same cooler and a hotter cpu will lead to a hotter overall machine.

There really isnt anything you can do to better the situation. Good paste is the best helper but you could search and do a copper mod like some people have done on other laptop heatsinks to provide a better conduction of heat from the processor.
