Here is the unfortunate story: I was going to listen to music and try to plug in the earphone, somehow I touched the usb port with the metal head of the earphone, then the computer immediately shut down, after that, I couldn't turn it on, whether on power or on battery, I tried to reset the bios and it didn't help either. Could the accidental touch short-circuit the motherboard? The warranty was long over, if the repair costs me too much, I may as well forget it and settle with a new laptop.

Remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter, let it sit for a minute, then power it back on.

No it just shorted the USB port, as long as your USB port still works there shouldn't be any damage. It turns off as a safety precaution.
