I have an old G50Vt-B1 that I'm having a Pink Screen of Death with, I repasted the GPU and it still happens. Can anyone help me, I have no idea what else to do, I"m not sure if this is possible to flash the vBios or if that'll help. Any help would be much appreciated. I already got a quote from a repair company for 900+ to replace the mobo, but for that money I'd just buy a new one. Which I can't afford right now.

Do you have any issues when you connect to an external monitor?

I'll try that today and see if I do

I forgot to mention that the GPU is running at around 140F just idling. Which is around 68 celsius.

In Furmark it gets up to 103 Celsius in 3 minutes. Bad paste job or normal for an Nvidia 9800M GS

It does not pink screen using an external monitor.

If the pink screen appears on your laptop display, but is NOT displayed on an external monitor, it most likely indicates an LVDS cable, cable connection, or laptop display issue. Some folks have resolved similar issues by reseating the LVDS cable at its connection to the motherboard.

Yep it's either a defective LCD or a bad LVDS cable or connection. Since I just posted about this in another thread, I will be lazy and obnoxious and quote myself. :p
