    G50vt Screen Replacement?

    I saw this link: ASUS G50VT compatible Laptop LCD Screens. Brand-new (never used).

    It says that they have a 15.4, 1680x1050 screen that is compatible with a g50vt. I have a g50vt-x1 and was wondering if this would really work or what.

    I don't see why not. The X2 had 1680 x 1050 15.4'' screens.

    Yes, get a CCFL screen. it won't line up with the existing brackets though. I used duct tape. Also, you need the 15.4" bezel.

    The screen is physically different dimensions since you're going from 16:9 (1366x768) to 16:10 (1680x1050 or 1440x900). The internal brackets do not align.
