    Like many, I am not crazy about the flames on the cover of my g50vt. I was wondering if any knew of where to get the solid black plate or I'd even settle for the blue one. I have looked on the forum, but haven't had any luck

    Its an out of production mostly out of warranty model range. You can try begging ASUS for the repair part but other then finding and paying alot for a dead upper end model ur screwed.

    Your best bet is to sand it for paint, note that your not gonna remove the current look with sand paper, its part of the plastic. Just need to get the surface ready.
