I have been reading from posts here that some are finding better results by not using power4gear or it's turbo modes and using windows 7 high performance settings instead. Is it confirmed that it is better to not use power4gear or what is best?

On another note if just using windows 7 settings can it still go into extreme turbo mode?

    Thanks!

I've used both Windows 7 and Power4Gear in High Performance modes. The first time I used P4G, I noticed the max processor state was set to 60%, so that's when I switched to W7. Yes, I knew I could've modified the P4G's settings to match W7, but I figured "why bother?"

Anyway, since the latest version of P4G, I've switched back to it, and since the settings are more in line with what I like, I've stayed with it.

In any case, I've never had any problems using either one. Can't comment on turbo modes in P4G since I haven't really had a need for them yet (my games are playing beautifully as it is, so I'm not going to stress my system out if I don't need to for marginal gains).

Hi there.Im new to the gaming computer world so bear with my complete lack of knowledge.I have an Asus G51J and i tampered with power4gear hybrid to see if it would make the games run better but it did'nt really.so now im sitting with my maximum and minimum processor state at 100% and have no idea what percentage they were before i put them up to 100%.there is no default option.

anyone know what the original percentages for the max and min processor state's are?also,if i change my battery options to high performance only, will that change the processor states % to there original %.

    Please help my dumb !
