Hi all,
2 weeks ago after downloading Hotspot Shield I started to encounter relentless and continuous BSODs, whether my notebook was gaming, watching videos, idle or even in safe mode.
The BSOD I kept encountering was "BUGCODE_NDIS_DRIVER"
After the usual update all the drivers, system restore, memtest86, full virus scan etc, I finally sent it back to ASUS who very kindly replaced the CPU and Mainboard and cleanly reinstalled everything, and sent it back to me.
So I got it back yesterday and switched it on, 10 minutes in waheeeey BSOD displaying the same error "BUGCODE_NDIS_DRIVER".
Naturally, I put in another request for RMA with a fairly disgruntled message attached to it, and I get an email saying my request has been REJECTED! Asus say they are sorry my problem is not fixed, and to "attempt the F9 recovery once more to make sure that it is not the OS that is causing an issue."
My question is firstly why would it be the OS when they have just freshly reinstaleld it, and why on earth didn't they test this themselves? Finally, can anyone here offer me advise on what to do?

NDIS driver is a network card driver - or anything that emulates a network card.
Check your adapter list eventually uninstall them all, then set them one by one to try to pinpoint the faulty one - lan or wireless or whatever netword card you may have.
That includes the virtual Interfaces like the ones created virtualization software, by VPN Clients or other comms software (Like the Hotspot Shield software you mention)
