I've been having intermittent but persistent problems with my blue tooth adapter in my G51J. What happens is about once a week or two, the computer stops being able to detect the adapter. If I go into Device Manager, I get an error like this:

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

The error code isn't even shown as a BT device, simply "Unknown Device" under USB.

Last time this problem happened, it simply solved itself in about an hour. This time though it doesn't seem to have such luck. I uninstalled the driver, reinstalled, and even tried updating directly from Broadcom with no joy.

Today I was simply playing SC2 using my BT headset; the headset lost audio and now the computer doesn't even detect that it's BT equipped!

    Has anyone else experienced this?

hi i have been having the same problem. i put a new copy of windows on and then tried installing the asus bluetooth driver but it said i was using the wrong installer and to make sure i have the correct windows wither 32 bit or 64. so i tried both any neither worked.

the default windows 7 bluetooth driver works now n then but after using it for ten minutes or so either the bluetooth just turns off or i get a bsod.

the only software ive found that seemed to work was bluesoleid but i only had the trial so every time i reached 2mb of transfer data it would turn off

i looked everywhere for a cracked version for 64bit or any other software that would to the job and after about 10 hours of searching ive come up empty

have you had any luck lately ?

i just spent another couple hours messing with it and i figured out all you have to do is install the asus wireless console 3 first and then the broadcom btw bluetooth driver
