G51J freezing after login

hey guys i havent really ever posted here before just read around and gotten great info for what i have looked for. i recently just started having an issue with my G51J where i would login and about 30seconds to a minute after logging in everything just freezes and i cant do anything. the last thing i really know i did to the computer was install WoW:Cataclysm and that was all. i tried installing the newest drivers for the gpu but it doesnt do anything. a friend told me it had happened to him in the past on his desktop and it ended up being that he needed new ram and i have read else where for other people that it was their gpu that died and needed replacing. does any1 have any ideas on what it may be? no error messages popped up so i cant give you that and i dont know where i could go to find any error messages that would tell me whats going on.
any help would be appreciated greatly.

Edit: fixed the issue. accidently installed creative sound drivers while already having realtek ones so i just unistalled the realteks and everything is running fine now.
