Ok, guys i need explanation because now i'm really sick to have thrown 1300 euro for a laptop that gave me a lot of problem.
I've bought g51jx laptop like 7 month ago. and installed latest nvidia driver (gts 360M vc) and began to play Bad company 2 under steam, after 2 days *paff!* BSOD began. ok... search the forum for possible solution, installed bios 205 (not asus official because at time there was no one that solved that issue)
then it worked well for a while, until now.
Recently i've updated my nvidia driver with the latest (206.something i think)
and after a while bad company 2 and world of warcraft give me the shutdown of the laptop due the overheating (bsod or call it whenever you want)
after a format and win7 64b reinstall i noticed a GPU overheat problem , in fact the program GPU-z show me that playing world of warcraft not full screen so Window mode with low details the GPU reach 105°!
what the hell? if i put some eggs near the ventilation exit i can cook in 4 minutes.
i've searched the internet and there are plenty of topic, posts, and people that whine about that laptop and that nvidia card is really hot, and overheat a lot.
i've purchased a Cooler master pad and ihope the situation will be better but i think it will lower my degrees of .. 6 10 max.
some of you experienced that issue?
i always clean my fan, and my laptop so it's not dust problem... maybe some driver give some problem? maybe i must update bios to Asus official 208? i don't know.
i say only that after 1300 euro of laptop i MUST NOT HAVE problem playing a game like wow. and also other game are not as smooth as they should be.
please say something asus or some1 that know how to solve that because i'm really pissed off.
greetings
BF

wow! i think i will send to asus to repair. -
its the GPU.. needs thermal paste redone.. G51JX has high temperatures usually.. replace thermal paste on it and problem solved.
