    Hey,

I'm currently shopping for an external LCD monitor and I was wondering what are the specs of my current LCD panel, the one on the G51Jx-A1. I can't find any information on the subject, but I'm curious about those specs:

    - Brightness
    - Response Time
    - Input Lag

I just want to be sure that the LCD monitor I'll buy will be equal or better for those specs.

    Thanks!

I'm not sure what the panel is in that machine. You can find out with a hardware utility and then if you're lucky, google will turn up a PDF that has specifications. The spoiler is: as long as you spend over roughly $250 on a monitor, it's going to slap the one that's inside your machine (with very few exceptions, like the G-series 3D models and thinkpads with IPS screens, etc.).

The panel used is AUO15ED, maybe you can look around the net and see if there are specs for that.
