I hear the keyboard is really hard to type on. Is this true?

I've had a funny issue with my typing... Often when entering text, the 1st key I hit does not do anything, for example it happens often with websites; I'll click on the address bar to type a new page and often will type ww.thesite.com instead of www. I've noticed it in every application though. It may be a setting I'm not aware of, but I couldn't imagine what... If anyone has a suggestion on that, I'd be interested.

Outside of that, I like the keyboard. My space bar squeeks a little every time I use it, and the smaller directional keys took a little getting used to, as I often hit the zero key on the # pad instead of the right directional key accidentally in the beginning, but nothing that really bothered me in the slightest.

It took me several months of having this issue to take the time to figure out the problem, and most likely the cause was my fault. When I got the laptop I had removed 90% of the startup items, including Asus's ATK keyboard add-on software.

What I can't confirm is whether there was an update since the original software, but going to ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support- entering the product details and downloading/installing all the ATK options fixed the issue.

Outside of that, I've had no issues with the keyboard, and still love the computer in general.
