I have been looking at some users with very similar laptops using the gtx260 (same as the gts360m) running the same i7 720qm , or in some cases i5-410 processor.

And it seems to be my laptop is running like a tired old dog...
I currently play diablo 3 and although temperatures do not exceed 91*C this laptop is running like crap, anytime game graphics spike with stuff flying everywhere the computer completely locks up for 4-5 seconds, and upon initial entry into a game from a cold boot I have to wait a few minutes or its almost unplayable.

I have a friend running a i5-410 and gt250 Vcard who plays diablo 3 with me seemlessly

what IS WRONG WITH MY g51?!

Computer is almost 2 years old, Bios was updated. most of the bloat ware removed... never done a fresh foramt

Drop shadows. I have a 5870m and I still have to drop shadows down to medium for perfectly fluid game play.
