I just recently purchased an Asus G51JX-X5 for a fairly cheap price, i figured it would be much better notebook then my current. I am a gamer and play World of Warcraft only come to find that after about an hour of playing my computer shuts down and up comes the blue screen of death. I cant seem to find much about this other than other Asus series having similar problems and am unsure of what to do. Im not very computer savy so any help would be much appreciated!!!!

Check your BIOS. If it's not the latest version, update it. Also monitor your temps to see if your GPU is overheating.

And how exactly do i upgrade my bios? I may be a half decent wow player, but i fail at computer lingo haha XD

Okay i was looking into the bios update and i mention that if you do the wrong model update for your computer it would mess is up pretty bad, so i went to my system information and it says that my system model is G60JX, but on the bottom of my laptop it says that it is a G51JX-X5, so now i am super confused as to what to do. It would seem like the model in my information would probably e more accurate correct?

The G51Jx and G60Jx are the same thing except for the screen. They share the same motherboard.

In any event, just make sure to use a freshly FAT formatted USB stick, and flash from easy flash inside the BIOS setup (F2 at startup).

You can use winflash, but it's not as safe. Under no circumstances should you flash with Easy Flash in the BIOS from an image on the internal hard disk.

A usb memory stick is the safest way to flash the BIOS. It's not absolutely required, just don't flash from within the BIOS utility with easy flash if you don't have one.
