After lots of research (I hadnt looked at the latest computer stats in a long time), Ive determined that I am going to buy an ASUS G53 computer.

Reading all that I have regarding the gimped GTX 560M Im looking at getting the G53SW to get the 460M in a 192 bit (for reasons I barely understand) - I just need to know which models of the G53SW is a matte screen like I am looking for? If you know - which models of the SX have matte (in case I go that way)?

The G53/74 SX (3de)versions getting the fully 192 bit 560M are too pricey for me ($1250 limit) and I dont like the look/build quality of the Toshiba Qosmio.

Thanks in advance for the help.

The G53SW doesnt come in a matte screen unless you have it custom installed on there. The G53SX does have a matte screen.

Honestly I think the matte screen is kind of unnecessary. I had both matte and glossy. At home the matte screen is pointless, it come handy only when using outside while sun is shining. Otherwise there is no significant difference.

On the other hand the glossy screen performs better speaking about colors or black/white.

To conclude, I would recommend u the SW version, since the GTX 460M is slighty better then 560M and can be overclocked to overperform 560 significantly.

I wish I had the Matte screen, It becomes annoying to me when I have to close the blinds to use my computer in doors.

YES! You need to deal with one of the custom dealers such as the one I mentioned. You will pay a small premium, but the service B4 and after the sale by Xoticpc and gentech are OUTSTANDING!. Plus they test your machine before it comes to you door , and support us directly and through this forum.
