Hi all,
I have G53JW with I7 740QM, 1.73 GHZ and up to 2.93 GHZ with turbo boost. We all know power options in Windows are synced with numerous 3rd party power-management programs, are showing "minimum processor power state" option while on battery and while plugged-in.
My problem is strange behaviour of CPU underclocking while on battery.
Problem definition: I set to "minimum processor power state" to %100 WHILE on BATTERY to give %100 power on battery to complete some special tasks rapidly, for personal purposes. But when my computer is idle, the CPU underclocks itself to as low as 994 MHZ EVENTHOUGH the minimum processor power state is %100!. Granted, because of having "maximum processor power state" also as %100 can lead me to get %100 power when i need, but there are some glitches and intermittent slow downs due to not preserving my CPU at 1.7 GHZ even CPU is idle. I do NOT want my CPU to downclock to 994 mhz, instead always want to keep CPU running at 1.7 GHZ which is %100, while on battery.
Is it possible to keep my I7 at 1.7 GHZ even computer is idle on battery?
I can post OpenHardwareMonitor screenshots (or HWINFO64) and the settings if you care.
Appreciate!

Try to set 99% instead of 100%.
