"Joining the G74Sx is the new ROG G53 notebook with a deadzone-free 3D display that can be viewed without the need for special 3D glasses. By combining 3D lenticular lens technology with the AUO ‘naked eye’ eye-tracking system, the G53 screen renders full 3D images that can be viewed from any angle for a more comfortable viewing experience. Both 2D and 3D modes can operate on the screen at the same time too, so on-screen text remains clear at all times. "

Someone tell me this is a 1080p panel...please...this panel really intrigues me.

Sounds like the old two-panel setup... 2 60Hz panels overlayed, and alternating frames for 3D.

I wish they'd use something better than a 460m in these laptops though, 6950m or 6970m would be perfect.

And add an additional 50-75w draw, bumping up the 150w brick to a 225... and ... well, yeah. Possible, yes. Likely, no.

I know the 6970m doesn't use 100w, but I don't know if they fixed the idling issues on it, I think it would be a good choice, I realize they epic failed with the 5870m though, so it is highly unlikely. The idea of a 15.6" 1080p panel with no glasses is quite nice (back on topic). Nobody seems to be covering CeBIT in depth though, all caught up in that iPad stuff.

I miss CeBit, that was a fun show to go see.

I love the Idea of 3D no glasses...
