    Hi guys, where air the air intake vents for the g53 located? will adding a keyboard protector impede the air intake for my machine & increase it's temps?

    It's below the monitor, ahead of where the speakers are located.

    As flyingfalcon already explained, the vents are located on the back of the screen hinges.
    I wouldn't advice a keyboard protector when the laptop is turned on, specially when you're going to leave it on over the night (as an example) or for alot of hours.
    Also don't keep the lid closed, always have it a bit opened.
    The heat comes thru the keyboard as well so blocking the keyboard raises the heat too.
