    Hi! :)

So... I've noticed while playing music (haven't really noticed it during movies/games) that every once in a while, I get this weird reverberation type sound. It goes for a second or two, the goes back to normal.

It's pretty dang annoying. I have the latest RealTek software for it, I also have the THX thing enabled. Do you think these could be working against each other?

    Thanks for your help.

audio stream conflicting with set bit rate and sampling rate. Can be caused by latency or multiple streams trying to be exclusive. Don't know what you have running at the same time. Classic conflict would be typical stereo music playback (16/44.1) and video streaming or playback (16/48).

    1) Update your DirectX if you never have.

    2) Open up your Playback Devices (right click on the white speaker icon) and double-click the "Speakers" selection. On the Advanced Tab you'll see something like this:

You can play around with these settings until the issue goes away. You can try disabling exclusive mode to see if the issue goes away.
