I've had my G53JW for a while now and this laptop has been amazing to me... I've haven't had one problem with but I was wondering if i should look to update to a new machine mostly because i want to be able to play Diablo 3 at the max settings possible and i don't know if the GTX 460M graphics card that my G53 has would be able to handle it? I've been waiting for this game for so long that i want to be able to experience the game at the best it can. What do you guys think?

The gtx 460m is a gts 450. The recommended video card for D3 is the gtx 260. The gts 450 is a little bit slower, you should be able to max it out at 768p, but not at 1080p. Are you actually rocking that resolution? I don't think you should. A 15.6 should run at its native resolution, whereas a 17.3 can at 900p or 1080p. It's silly to run a 15.6 at 1080p.

You don't mind having a bulky notebook with a small screen, but if the screen is big, that's bad? The MSI GT70 is definitely the 17.3 you should look into.

Actually, playing the D3 beta I didn't have any problems at 1080. Even in multiplayer dungeons I was 30-40 fps.
I may have set shadows to Med, but everything else was set to high.
If all else, try OC'ing a little. The 460m can overclock to similar scores as an overclocked 560m.
Pretty excited for D3 to release though
Edit: At first I too thought 17" would be really too big, but I have a friend that brings around 17" laptop with only integrated graphics, and now I wish I had gotten a g74 or 17". They aren't nearly as bulky as you think (unless battery life and portability are super important to you). -
I've been on the verge of getting a 17" cause i honestly treat this laptop as a desktop replacement and very few times do i take it anywhere besides a friends house which i bring all my cables with me.
I'm psyched for Diablo 3 as-well -
You wont have any problems at all maxing it out. I can run it on my M11x at native 768P high with 30fps on a DDR3 540M GT which is a mile below your 460M GTX. 1080p easily.
Diablo 3 is not that intensive but does have a lot of physics involved so as long as you have a quad core processor which you do then you will see no problems, that is where I suffer on my M11x having a ULV processor, post and physics cause lag.
1080p on a 13/15/17 inch screen will all run the same in terms of performance. -
