    Hi there,
Maybe most of people are aware of this issue, maybe not, what i found out is that eventhough the notebook is plugged in, no matter you turn it on or off, the battery discharges itself from %100 to %94 approx. within every two weeks, then when it drops below %94, it charges itself back to %100. I know the battery should re-charge itself when it drops below %95, that's expected and not a problem as documented in e-manual, the problem is that the battery discharges itself to %94 within upcoming every two weeks which concerns me about shortening battery life.

This vicious cycle is repeated all every two weeks.

I drained battery from %100 to %2, and charged back to %100, no chance. I asked this someone and found some threads on the net (that may also happen to MacBooks), which was told as "normal" behaviour.

    Is it really normal?

    Thanks!

Are you turning your machine off, or using Sleep?

I'm shutting it down. No power usage while it's off. I consulted another people and said that's the normal behaviour with most of batteries because of battery chemicals. But i'm unsure.

Rechargeables will lose power when idle, so it's not 100% unusual. Dropping 6% in 2 weeks is not unheard of. It would be an issue if you lost 60% in 2 weeks. :)

    Yes, it's not a problem. :)
