    Hi all,

First time posting on these forums. I picked up the G53JW with only 4G of RAM a few weeks ago, and wanted to upgrade to the full 16G, but read in the wonderful HD replacement guide that getting to that slot is quite a pain.

Besides mentioning that the screen had to come off to get at the front of the motherboard, I didn't see a lot of details. I don't mind meticulously taking apart the laptop, but am more afraid of breaking something -- since all these laptops seem to involve prying off pieces of plastic and removing delicate wires.

Do you all know where a detailed guide might exist for getting at that 4th slot?

    Many thanks!

    Thanks Lurch,

That video, I think, will do the trick!
