Hello guys, i just got one of these, and as soon as it came out of the box came with an issue with the wireless adapter, the Atheros AR9285 and the other appear to be microsoft virtual Wifi miniport adapter, the issue is that i cant connect to any wireless network, it doesnt even detect any at all, i tried updating the atheros driver and then uninstalling and installing again, this actually works as soon as i do that i can use the adapter without any problems, but every time i turn off the computer, send the laptop to sleep or closing the screen, it happens again and i have to do all over again. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know, this is driving me nuts. THXX

Ohh and by the way if anyone knows were can i buy a bracket for a 2d hdd installation it would be great.

what do you mean cant connect to any network? Like do networks show up? It could be because the adapter turns off after you restart and stuff and you have to turn it back on. Its what my G51's Atheros card did all the time. After hibernate i would see a little x thing on the network sign and i would have to enable the card back on manually because it keeps turning off. If you have the wireless console installed, you should see it on the taskbar, when you click the little arrow thing and a bunch of other icons show up, it should be a blue looking one. If you click on that you will see that WLAN is disabled. Just click on that to enable it again.

Luckily i upgraded to an intel 6300 today lol.

Yeah the atheros was annoying. my old Toshiba's wifi card was better. Every time i turned on the laptop, it took over a minute just to connect to a network while my old Toshiba could do it instantly the notebook came out of hibernate. Hopefully this is resolved with the new Intel 6300 i just upgraded to.

Do you have a model number for the 6200 you installed?

There is only one model in the 6200, just dont buy it in ebay, a lot of fakes. There is an intel authorized dealer here in the forums that sells them cheap, babyhemi
