My video seems to be distorted every time that I take the computer with me to class. I think the probably is that I banged a little to hard just below the keyboard one night while playing bf3 with some noobs. So when I take it out in class sometimes the screen turns a death red or there is a yellow shadow effect on everything. I have noticed that if I tap gently on the area to the right of the trackpad it usually comes back to normal. Could this be a loose connection?

The JW is very similiar to the JH in creation and here is an image to show you what you are tapping.

Although I dont know how the 53 fairs to the 73.

The nearest thing to the right of the touchpad is going to be the bass connection with the headphone sockets and the touchpad connection circled in blue. There is nothing directly right of the touchpad apart from a bluetooth adaptor if you have one circled orange. But there is the HDD located on the underside.

It could be a loose connection but the connections for the display are located near the top of the keyboard circled green.

You do have the GPU nearby however just above the touchpad on the underside but it is difficult to say. If you have banged it and you have a mechanical hard drive that is normally the first thing to be affected. Run a HDD Tune health check just to rule it out. My thought is that one of your connection was already loose and by banging it you are causing it to disconnect and then reconnect.

RMA or Disassembly should sort out your problem depending if you are in warranty or not.

As a fellow angry gamer I feel your pain, I got through 7 HDD before finally switching to SSD and haven't had a problem since ;)

    EDIT:

Does seem there is differences so I will just add not delete the above.

This is the underside it seems you still have the HDD in the same place so do check them but I still think you are going to have a loose connection and due to the difference in construction and placing of your heatsink your connections are going to be in a different place.

Here is the BTOTech disasembly guide have a look at it and hopefully it will show you which connection it could be.
